Hello, everyone! Thank you so much for stopping by to check out the learning activities that other bloggers are sharing… and if you’re a blogger, please link up your creative fun and learning ideas for kids ages 5 and up! Each week I pick some favorites or create a themed collection of posts from past linkups.
Yesterday (Sunday) was a day to focus on housework. I nearly caught up on all the laundry (after putting away six loads!) and did something I have been meaning to do for a long time… caught up on my children’s baby books. I have to write these things down before I forget them!
Because I spent so much time catching up on things at home, I just picked one post to highlight. It’s my favorite. 🙂
If you want to find creative ways to build on what your child is learning at school, you should absolutely follow Planet Smarty Pants! I’m always learning something from Natalie, especially in science and math. This week she recommended a kids’ history book about inventions… from the very first inventions all the way to the iPad.
She challenged her daughter to pick the world’s most important inventions, using the book as a reference. What a great critical thinking activity! Pop on by to get the book’s title and see a list comparing what Natalie and her daughter chose as the most notable inventions in history.
