Want to know how to teach the alphabet to toddlers? Try these playful activities!

Today I’m honored to welcome Danielle of Mom Inspired Life.   One of her special gifts is the ability to think of playful learning ideas for preschoolers.  We love the variety of hands-on activities we find on her site.  Be sure to follow her blog for simple, high interest learning activities!

Here’s Danielle…

I love teaching my kids the alphabet and letter sounds with fun, playful activities. My kids really enjoy the process, so we have done lots of alphabet activities! I thought it would be a great idea to go back to my archives and pick our favorites to share with you.

I would rather not use flash cards, and I’ve found that many preschoolers respond very well to learning while moving or playing a game. They are more engaged and often they don’t even realize how much learning is taking place! They are just having fun and playing while the learning happens.

All of the alphabet activities I share on my blog have been very well received, but some of them have stood out above the rest. Several of them include free printables as well. Here are the top ten alphabet activities we have done!
