So have you been to an apple orchard this fall? My husband took each of my older children for some one-on-one time. After three trips to the orchard and some apples from our own modest trees, this fruit is in my fridge and on my brain.
‘Tis the season for apple sight words!
1.Write your sight words on foam apples from the craft store. Dip them in a little water, and they attach like magic! Use them on your windows, glass doors, or even bathtub walls. You can have your kids read the word as they stick up the apples and then bring you the words that you call.
2. Print apple sight word cards, laminate, and attach magnets to use them on the refrigerator. You can tape a paper apple tree to your fridge or draw one with dry erase markers (test first – but mine came off easily with a little window cleaner).
You can get blank apple sight word cards here: Blank apple cards – the measured mom
3. Make a file folder game. Print an apple tree on cardstock, laminate, and cut out dots or apples to attach with Velcro dots.

4.If you’ve got some beautiful fall weather, take your apple tree sight words outside like Dierdre did at JDaniel4’s Mom.
5. Create a felt apple tree on your floor and play this fun rotten apple sight word game from Mom to 2 Posh Little Divas.
6. If you’ve got an extra bulletin board or some wall space, get out the construction paper and Velcro strips and make this sight word apple tree from The Educators’ Spin on it.
