This is my personal blog. I write it. That just means that this is my personal website, where I share my opinions and link to other sites on a regular basis. I love writing and maintaining The Measured Mom, and getting to know my readers is a huge joy in my life. But this isn’t a free hobby. I pay for hosting, my newsletter service, clip art, computer programs… you get the idea. I also spend a lot of time creating and sharing quality content. On an average week it’s at least 20 hours.
I’m thankful that I receive a part-time income for my time and effort. The FTC says I have to tell you how I make my money. So here you go.
See the ads in the header, sidebar, and ends of posts? Those are run by a third party ad network. I get money based on how many people visit my site. I have some control over what kind of ads you see. So please let me know if you see a gross video game ad or that one about the weird trick for reducing belly fat. You don’t need to see those. Please note that I don’t endorse any of the products in my third party ads. (Especially the belly fat trick. Yuck.)
Sometimes I do book reviews or tell you about a product. I always disclose first. I’ll let you know if I received product and/or compensation to write the review. And I always give my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences. They’re purely my opinions, though, okay? Be sure to verify what I say about a product or service with the manufacturer.
You’ll often see this at the top of my posts: “This post contains affiliate links.” That’s because I’m linking to an Amazon product or a product from another site or blogger. The Measured Mom is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for earning advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com. This doesn’t cost you an extra cent.
Anonymous visitor information is recorded and used by The Measured Mom to track blog growth and learn how you found me. This information is not shared or sold. I use Google Analytics to learn which browser you use, how you found this blog, and to see how many hourly/daily/weekly/monthly visitors there are.
To leave a comment, enter a giveaway, or subscribe by email, you provide your name and email address. Don’t worry; I don’t share that information with anyone. This information is only used to reply to comments, notify winners, and send my newsletter. You may unsubscribe to the newsletter at any time.
