Your learners will love this free set of games for reading ai and ay words!
Today I’m sharing a set of four-in-a-row games for ai and ay words.
How to play
- Print the game of your choice. In the download, you’ll find a game for ay words, a game for ai words, and a game for both ai and ay words.
- Grab two different colored Do-a-Dot markers, colored counters, or markers.
- Take turns reading a word. Dot, cover, or color the word.
- The first to get four in a row, wins!
So it’s been a year since I did the other ai/ay games with my Six. He’s in the middle of first grade now and an excellent reader. So he really doesn’t need these.
But he’s always up for a game of Four-in-a-Row. 🙂
I love that these games are quick and fun. But you can always make the game longer. Instead of going for four in a row, take turns reading and dotting until the board is completely covered.
We hope you enjoy these!
