I’ve shared three sets of handwriting pages for preschool and kindergarten for the upper and lowercase alphabet. Now I’ve got you covered with pages for writing numbers, too!
Handwriting pages for writing numbers
For preschoolers just starting to write their numbers, I recommend my Numbers of All Sizes handwriting pages. Your child starts on at the red dot and follows the arrow to write inside each block letter. Your child might like to start with the largest letter and work his way down to the smallest. Or work in random order, as my preschooler likes to do. 😉
I have found that jumping right from the Letters of All Sizes pages to traditional handwriting pages is too much for my preschoolers. That’s why I created these simple pages with just two large lines on a page. My kids can usually complete the entire page when they’re ready for them – usually close to age four.
Note! For some mysterious reason, these do not print nicely directly from my blog. Download the file to your own computer (by right-clicking on the word “HERE” and choosing “save link as”), open from your computer, and print. You should get a nice result that way!
Finally, my kids move to this final set of handwriting pages as a last step before traditional handwriting practice pages. My Four is just starting to do these; it’s something I start with my kids the year before kindergarten. It may be a while before your child is ready to do the whole thing. No worries!
You can see how these pages start with a lot of support and finish with just a single starting dot.
Again, these don’t print nicely directly from my blog (and I sure wish I knew why!). You’ll need to right click on “HERE,” save to your computer, and open from there to print. They should print beautifully. 🙂
