Teach kids about money in kindergarten with this free math printable! Love that the book comes in 3 different versions.

Free money emergent reader

The book has a cover and five pages.  Each page has a simple sentence.  The pages introduce the dollar, quarter, dime, nickel, and penny.

I created three versions of the book.  The first version has a blank rectangle for the dollar bill and blank circles for the coins.  Give your child a dollar bill and coins.  By listening to you read the book (or reading it himself), your child will determine what coin belongs on each page.  You can see my older preschooler reading the book and matching the money in this quick video.

Another version of the book has the actual images of the coins in black and white.

Finally, you may print a color version of the reader.
