So far I’ve shared two complete sets of uppercase handwriting worksheets – designed just for preschoolers. My level 3 set of printable handwriting worksheets is appropriate for older preschoolers and beginning kindergartners.
If you’re teaching your child to start writing letters, please don’t start with these! Start with my Level One pages:
After those, move on to my Level Two pages:
After that, if your child is ready, you can try these:
You can see that the practice gets harder with each line. On the first two lines, your child will trace the letters. On the third line, your child traces the first letter and then uses the dots as a guideline when writing the remainder of the row. On the final line, your child gets a starting dot only.
A tip for printing:
For a mysterious reason, these will not print nicely if you left click on the link and print immediately. You will be missing some handwriting lines. Instead, right click, hit “save link as” and save to your computer. When you open up the file from your computer, the pages should print beautifully.

Will you be making the Level 3 handwriting pages in lowercase letters? I love the uppercase ones. They help my daughter remember to use the whole space that is provided to write her letters correctly!
Kate Dowling
Hi Bing!
This is Kate, Anna’s assistant. Yes, we have those pages! Here is the link to the Level 3 handwriting pages in lowercase: https://www.themeasuredmom.com/free-lowercase-handwriting-worksheets/
Laura
These are a great idea, with the use of the dots to guide the strokes.
I find myself unable to use these however since the pad papers used in the school are blue-red-blue strokes and I’m afraid that my students might get confused when I’ll use the color of the lines as a guide. Usually for capital letters I say “they are blue-to-blue” letters to show the size.
Any chance this might get an update with blue colored lines for the headline and footline, and a red broken line for the midline? 🙂
Anna G
No, sorry! 🙂 These took an insane amount of time, so I don’t plan on creating handwriting worksheets any time in the near future. 🙂

Anna I am a Pakistani teacher and you may know our children feel very tough to write English letters. I hope now children will feel esay .
Jeri
Thank you so much for sharing the letters on two lines. It has been very helpful for my daughter. I was wondering if you had the 2 lines without the letters on them? I would like to free write without the outline to help her.
Thank you so much.
Anna Geiger
I sent you an email, Jeri!
Rustam
Anna thank you so mouch.
I like your this work very mouch.
Jen
First of all, THANK YOU, these are amazing! I just printed the lower case sheets and they look awesome. Question though, I tried printing the whole upper case alphabet and instead of the dashes to trace it’s a solid black letter that is slightly off from the dots. Am I doing something wrong in printing?
Anna Geiger
For some reason these only print well when you save to your computer first, then open and print from there. Printing from the file that pops up when you click on the link doesn’t work. Just right click on a link and choose “save as” to save to your computer. Let me know if you still have trouble!
Jen
Thank you so much! That worked! This resource is such a blessing, thank you for sharing!
Anna Geiger
You’re very welcome, Jen!

Yes, Jill – I absolutely plan on it! These take quite a while to make though, so I don’t expect to have them available until sometime in the summer.
