Write the Room is a pretty simple activity that doesn’t require a ton of prep. Simply print the recording sheets for your students. Then cut out and tape the cards to various places in the room.

The game comes with three different levels of cards.

Level 1 – This has pictures with the word on each card. Students simply need to match the picture on their recording sheet to the picture on the card and copy the word.

Level 2 – There are no picture cues. Instead, students have to read the words they find on the walls and match them to the pictures on their pages.

Level 3 – Students find the matching picture and then unscramble the word to spell it on their sheets.

If you have more than one level of learners, print the black and white cards (included in the download) on different colors of cardstock. Then tell students which color they need to find and use as they record their answers.
