What a fantastic talk. I trained in the late 70s and we did phonics but it was late God-mother who gave me a progression list of graphemes, digraphs etc and a super Principal, trained in the same province as my God-mother who sent me on the explicit teaching route, arming kids with ways to decode and spell. I am having tremendous fun listening to all you have to say and I am enjoying finding out more and more.Thank you!

An excellent presentation which offers hope for parents of dyslexic children. I did find the change within a year of the Grade 6 daughter a miracle. Would love to know how often each week she saw the OG tutor to achieve those results
Gina
Hi Denise!
Thank you so much for you comment. She saw the tutor once a week for an hour plus the supports put in place at her school. ♥️ One of her sixth grade teachers came up to me at graduation and said how she is a completely different student than she was in sixth grade.
