Hello! First of all, I would like to say thank you for your fabulous resources. I teach at a 100% free lunch school where most students are more than two years behind. We just adopted the Open Court reading program. It’s great for reading, and phonics, but lacks in the spelling instruction. Last year I used words their way for 30 minutes daily with 3 to 4 groups. Students made good progress. I read on your website that you do not think WTW has enough explicit instruction. It also said that you were going to come out with a new series on spelling instruction during 2023. Haa this series been written? Would you please point me to a science of reading- friendly resource so that I can make better informed decisions? Thank you!

Hi Kathleen!
A lot of my 2023 projects were put on the back burner because I was offered a book deal and am still working on finishing that up to send to my editor. But as soon as that’s taken care of, this is one of my top projects! I expect to publish it in early 2024.
