Hi!
Julie mentioned a 6-step lesson plan several times. I’m wondering, is it Wiley Blevins’ lesson plan for decodables, or is it another one? I don’t think she mentioned where she found it. I’m also wondering how to fit this 6-step lesson plan into 15 minutes as Julia had mentioned? Is there a copy of a lesson plan using this 6-step lesson plan that shows us how to break it down into 15 minutes?
Thanks!

Hi Lisa, I think this is something unique to Schools Cubed, so I’m not sure it can be shared. But I will ask Julie to weigh in here!
Lisa
Okay, thank you!!!

Hi Lisa! I am so sorry that this took forever to get back to you. The start of school is always so overwhelming. I am familiar with Wiley Blevins Decodable lesson format, but this might be a little different. I am sharing a doc with you that has it filled in for an intervention block so it is closer to 30 minutes of time needed. Teachers in the classroom use the same format, the just might reduce the number of words they use with the kiddos in each section. So each section is closer to 1-2 min or 3-5 based on what section it is. They also block enough time to read with the kids from the decodable too. They usually structure their groups to run 15-20 minutes based on the need of the small group. This is also the same format that we would use for our whole group lessons. Here you go!
