Today I’m sharing another book in our Little Letter Book collection. This free printable contains rhymes and songs for letter C.
Letter C Rhymes and Songs – free letter book!
Here are the songs and rhymes included in the mini-book:
C is for Cobbler
Cobbler, cobbler,
Mend my shoe.
Get it done by half past two.
Half past two is much too late.
Get it done by half past eight.
C is for Crooked Man
There was a crooked man
And he walked a crooked mile.
He found a crooked sixpence
Against a crooked stile.
He had a crooked cat
Which caught a crooked mouse
And they all lived together
In a little crooked house.
C is for Cock a Doodle Doo
Cock a doodle doo! My dame has lost her shoe.
My master’s lost his fiddling stick
And doesn’t know what to do.
Cock a doodle doo! My dame has found her shoe.
And master’s found his fiddling stick
For dame and doodle-doo.
C is for Cross Patch
Cross patch, draw the latch,
Sit by the fire and spin.
Then take a cup and drink it up
And call the neighbors in.
C is for Clouds (sing to the tune of “Are You Sleeping?”)
Clouds are floating,
Clouds are floating,
Up so high, up so high.
Floating up above us,
Floating up above us,
In the sky, in the sky.
C is for Caterpillar (sing to the tune of “Itsy Bitsy Spider”)
The fuzzy little caterpillar
Curled upon a leaf,
Spun her little chrysalis
And then she fell asleep.
While she was sleeping,
She dreamed that she could fly,
And later when she woke up
She was a butterfly!
To assemble a Little Letter Book:
-
- Print the document in color (if you desire) on cardstock. Be sure to print pages 2-3 front to back (page 1 is my Terms of Use). You will need only one piece of paper.
- Cut an even line across the center of the page.
- Fold the two sheets to make a book. Make sure the cover is in front, and insert the other page inside.
- Staple with a long arm stapler.

God bless you for the good work you are doing but if you can at least write the tunes for all the songs like I will be very happy cuz i don’t know some of tunes to the songs. Thanks and God bless you once again.
Heather Groth, Customer Support
Hi Doreen! You could try using YouTube to find the tunes to any songs that are unfamiliar. You should be able to find many versions with the original tune!
