List of nursery rhymes and songs for letter J (free printable book!)

Each of the books in my Little Letter Book collection contains six nursery rhymes and songs for a particular letter.  Here are the songs and rhymes you’ll find in the Little Letter J Book:

Jack be Nimble

(for the tune, click here)

Jack be nimble,
Jack be quick.
Jack jump over the candlestick.

Jack Sprat

Jack Sprat could eat no fat,
His wife could eat no lean.
And so between them both, you see,
They licked the platter clean.

Jack ate all the lean,
Joan ate all the fat.
The bone, they picked it clean
And gave it to the cat.

Jingle Bells

Jingle bells, jingle bells,
Jingle all the way.
Oh what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh!

Little Jenny Wren

Little Jenny Wren
As little Jenny Wren
Was sitting by the shed,
She waggled with her tail
And nodded with her head.
She waggled with her tail
And nodded with her head
As little Jenny Wren
Was sitting by the shed.

Jack and Jill

(for the tune, click here)

Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown
And Jill came tumbling after.

Little Jack Horner

Little Jack Horner sat in a corner
Eating his Christmas pie.
He stuck in his thumb and pulled out a plum,
And said, “What a good boy am I!”

How to assemble my Little Letter Books:

  • Print the document in color (if you desire) on cardstock.  Be sure to print pages 2-3 front to back (page 1 is my Terms of Use). You will need only one piece of paper.
  • Cut an even line across the center of the page.
  • Fold the two sheets to make a book. Make sure the cover is in front, and insert the other page inside.
  • Staple with a long arm stapler.
