Printable Letter Book: Rhymes & Songs for Letter F

You will find these songs and rhymes in the Little Letter “F” Book:

F is for Flower

sung to the tune of London Bridge

Flower starts with letter F,
Letter F, Letter F,
Flower starts with letter F,
/f/, /f/, /f/, f/!

F is for Frog

Sung to the tune of Farmer in the Dell

The frog lives in the pond,
His tongue is oh so long.
It reaches high to catch a fly,
And then he sings this song.
Ribbit, Ribbit, ribbit
Ribbit, ribbit, ribbit
Hi, ho just watch him go
His tongue is oh so long!

F is for Five Little Speckled Frogs

If you need the tune, click here.

Five little speckled frogs,
Sat on a speckled log,
Eating the most delicious bugs.
Yum! Yum!
One jumped into the pool,
Where it was nice and cool,
Then there were four green speckled frogs.
Glub! Glub!

F is for Firefighter (from perpetualpreschool.com)

sung to the tune of I’m A Little Teapot

I’m a little firefighter on the go.
Here is my helmet,
Here is my hose.
When I see a fire, hear me shout:
“Turn on the water and put the fire out!”
SHHHHHHHHHH!

F is for Farmer

The farmer in the dell, the farmer in the dell,
Hi-ho, the derry-o, the farmer in the dell.

The farmer takes a wife…
The wife takes a child…
the child takes a nurse…
The nurse takes a dog…
The dog takes a cat…
The cat takes a rat…
The rat takes the cheese…
The cheese stands alone…

F is for Fireworks (from perpetualpreschool.com)

sung to the tune of Row, Row, Row Your Boat

Boom, crack, whistle, pop!
Fireworks in the sky.
See them lighting up the night,
On the fourth of July.
Red, blue, gold, and green.
With fireworks we say,
“Happy birthday, America,
It’s Independence Day!”

To assemble a Little Letter Book:

  • Print the document in color (if you desire) on cardstock.  Be sure to print pages 2-3 front to back (page 1 is my Terms of Use). You will need only one piece of paper.
  • Cut a even line across the center of the page.
  • Fold the two sheets to make a book. Make sure the cover is in front, and insert the other page inside.
  • Staple with a long arm stapler.
