Little Letter I Book: Rhymes & Songs
(This post contains affiliate links.)
Here are the songs and rhymes included in the mini-book:
I is for Insects All Around (to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star)
Ladybugs and butterflies,
Buzzing bees up in the sky.
Teeny, tiny, little ants,
Crawling up and down the plants.
Many insects can be found
In the sky and on the ground.
I is for Iguana (to the tune of If You’re Happy and You Know It; from DLTK-teach.com )
Oh, I’d like to be a big, green iguana.
Oh, I’d like to be a big, green iguana.
Oh I’d itch and I’d scratch,
And I’d find a leafy patch.
Oh, I’d like to be a big, green iguana.
I is for Igloo (to the tune of London Bridge)
Igloo starts with letter I,
Letter I, letter I,
Igloo starts with Letter I,
/i/, /i/, /i/, /i/!
I is for If You’re Happy and You Know It (for the tune, click here)
If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands!
If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands!
If you’re happy and you know it,
Then your face will surely show it,
If you’re happy and you know it,
Clap your hands!
I is for Ice Cream
I scream,
You scream,
We all scream
For ICE CREAM!
I is for Itsy Bitsy Spider (to hear the tune click here)
Itsy bitsy spider
Went up the water spout.
Down came the rain and washed the spider out.
Out came the sun
And dried up all the rain.
And itsy bitsy spider
Went up the spout again.
How to assemble my Little Letter Books:
- Print the document in color (if you desire) on cardstock. Be sure to print pages 2-3 front to back (page 1 is my Terms of Use). You will need only one piece of paper.
- Cut an even line across the center of the page.
- Fold the two sheets to make a book. Make sure the cover is in front, and insert the other page inside.
- Staple with a long arm stapler.

I’m glad you can use it. Some day I’ll have one for each letter. 🙂 Please let me know if you have trouble printing it!
Vicki
My printer doesn’t print front to back.
Vicki
What I did was to fold the pages into quarters and cut on those lines and staple together.

Another option might be to turn over each page and re-insert them into the paper drawer before printing the back side. But it sounds like you found a solution that worked!
