    Happy New Year Anna

Have you ever thought about opening your own preschool. You will do well.

Congratulations on your bouncing baby boy.

Hi, Janelle! No, I haven’t thought about opening my own preschool… I kind of already have one, but I just have one or two students at a time. 🙂 I like my free schedule, and I always have a toddler and/or baby, so I don’t know how I would manage an in home preschool. Maybe some day when my kids are bigger I can host a Mother’s Day Out or something… but for now I like to use every spare moment to blog!

          Hi Normel,

          My kids are 3 months, 2, 4, 5, 7, and 8. I actually wrote a post about how I find time to blog: https://www.themeasuredmom.com/how-i-find-time-to-blog/

My sister is my VA, but she only works 5 hours a week for me.

I’m impressed by your site. It’s so comprehensive! I am homeschooling my second child (3-year-old) since we don’t have money to send him to a preschool right now. I’m a high school teacher by profession, so this is a new world to me. Thanks for sharing!

Do you have a recommendation for how long each pack should take to teach? And how much time to spend each day on the activities? I home school preschool my three boys all under age 4 and I have trouble getting them to sit still and listen or do an activity for longer than 15 minutes at a stretch. Everything I do is hands – on and most of it involves manipulatives but it always seems they would rather play 🙁

Great question, Sarah! First I should say that each pack contains WAY more activities than any one teacher or parent would have time to do. The bundles are typically 200-300 pages of activities so that you can choose the ones that are best for your learner. You can easily do some one year and then others the following year. So instead of saying how long the bundle takes, I can say how much time I recommend you spend. If you’re homeschooling for preschool, it varies by the child’s age and development. Since your boys are under 4, 15 minutes is actually just about right. I know that can feel frustrating, but it’s quite normal. You could try two sessions per day so that you get a total of 30 minutes. And sometimes you may find that one or more of your boys is game for more activities. I suggest overplanning for each day with 3-4 activities, and bump the ones you don’t get to to the following day.

You can also read books recommended in the pack for part of the day and then do activities for another part. I would say that 3-4 weeks on a theme is a good amount of time to spend, but you can certainly go longer if your boys are still interested.

      I hope this helps!

Thankfully your oldest children are big enough to help out. I’m sure they love having two sweet babies! You’re definitely a busy mom and teacher – I hope you find some resources here to save you some time and energy!

    Hello, Anna

I’ll try not to copy everyone else’s posts but my students have benefited tremendously from the support you’re able to provide teachers through materials and suggested activities. Until now I’ve only used the free materials but I’d like to purchase more.

I have poked around the sight and can’t seem to find anything like a bundle. Are there any? I love the emergent readers from all categories and would like most/all of them but I think I would also like to buy all of the themes and make a yearly plan for my students using the materials.

Do you have any suggestion for using the site’s materials? Or, would I be individually purchasing each file?

    Thank you for your time!

    Hi Anna,
I have a set of bears from you that have rhyming words on them. They could be word families. They are sleeping and I’m trying to find what they go with on my computer. I have so many theme packs that I have purchased from you and I’ve tried to go through them and find these bears (they are already printed out and laminated). I think there were word family “caves” that went with them but I can’t find them at this time. Would you be able to tell me what the name of the set is or the name of the product it came in so I can find it? I would really appreciate it.
    Thank you,
    Connie

Thank you so much for doing all this. My daughter is 4 and recently diagnosed with ASD with speech delays and I’m trying to supplement pre-school with a bit of homeschooling on top of theraphy and other things. Your site has been such a blessing since I can find a lot of tools to use in one place. It’s made the search less overwhelming. We are trying to learn sight words and your books are exactly what I need to reinforce what she learns in the app she uses. Plus printing, laminating and cutting is therapeutic for me as well since it gives me sonething to do other than worry. So thank you for being such a blessing.
