We love rhymes and songs, so these mini-books are a favorite of my just-turned-Three. In this free printable book you’ll find six rhymes for letter W.
Rhymes for Letter W: Little Letter W Book
Here are the rhymes and songs you’ll find in this mini-book:
W is for Woman
There was an old woman
Who lived in a shoe.
She had so many children
She didn’t know what to do.
She gave them broth
And lots of fresh bread.
Then kissed them all soundly
And put them to bed.
W is for Wash the Dishes
Wash the dishes,
Wipe the dishes,
Ring the bell for tea.
Three good wishes,
Three good kisses,
I will give to thee!
W is for Weather
Whether the weather be fine,
Or whether the weather be not.
Whether the weather be cold,
Or whether the weather be hot.
We’ll weather the weather,
Whatever the weather,
Whether we like it or not!
W is for Wheels
The wheels on the bus
Go round and round,
Round and round,
Round and round.
The wheels on the bus
Go round and round,
All through the town.
W is for Watermelon (sing to the tune of “Are You Sleeping?”)
Watermelon, watermelon,
On the vine, on the vine.
Sweet and red and juicy,
Sweet and red and juicy,
Please be mine! Please be mine!
W is for Wee Willie Winkie
Wee Willie Winkie
Runs through the town,
Upstairs and downstairs,
In his nightgown.
Rapping at the windows,
Crying at the lock,
“Are the children in their beds?
For now it’s 8:00!”
To assemble a Little Letter Book:
- Print the document in color (if you desire) on cardstock. Be sure to print pages 2-3 front to back (page 1 is my Terms of Use). You will need only one piece of paper.
- Cut an even line across the center of the page.
- Fold the two sheets to make a book. Make sure the cover is in front, and insert the other page inside.
- Staple with a long arm stapler.
