I remember a very particular day of fourth grade.
It was the day my teacher introduced me to long division. Looking at all those numbers on the page, I was completely overwhelmed. Before long, I was in tears.
Fast forward 15 years. Now I was teaching long division to my own group of fourth graders. Many of them had the same weepy expression! What I needed was something more than my curriculum.
I needed additional supplementary materials to “crack the code” for my students – games and activities that would really help them make sense of math.
If this is something you’ve wished for, I have good news!
Let me introduce you to The Ultimate Math Toolbox, created by my friend Bethany at Math Geek Mama. Hi. I am Bárbara from Chile, in South America, I am a teacher too, and I tried to teach English here, but it was so hard, and now I am teaching just to my daughter, she is four years old, I work as an assistant in a company, I went to north caroline to have a little capacitation for TA, but just the half, because I did not have time nor money to stay there, it was the best thing that I have done (and my baby), well the topic of all this is that I appreciate your help and the things that you give us to use with kids…. I really thank you.
