We’re almost at the end of our collection of free phonics books. Here’s set 21!

(This post contains affiliate links.)
For the last few sets, we’ve been working on two-syllable words. For this set, I chose two-syllable words with these word endings: le, el, ar, er, and or.

Here’s a sample book!

You’ll notice that I put the word ending in a different color. Your child should be able to read the first chunk using the phonics he knows from previous sets.

Each page reviews some previously learned patterns. On this page your child reviews the ing ending (going), the op family (mop), and the eck family (deck).

On the last page, your child will review all the words he’s learned.
How to print and assemble:
- Print pages 2-17 front to back (page 1 is my Terms of Use). I like to use light cardstock to make the books durable.
- Separate the stack into each individual book. Each book consists of two pages front to back.
- Cut across the horizontal center of the pages.
- Insert the pages into each other, using the page numbers as a guide.
- Staple with a long arm stapler.

Thanks so much for sharing these great worksheets. As a retired teacher, on a fixed income, I love sharing these with the neighborhood children who stop by asking for help with their schoolwork!
Much appreciated!
