Should the scripts be decodable?
Do you have decodable readers theater scripts?
Anna Geiger
Hi Nyree! This is a very good question. Some people would say yes. Others, like the researcher Tim Rasinski, would say no. I am still undecided! I do know that writing decodable reader’s theater scripts that are actually interesting and worth rereading is very difficult, which is why I don’t have any for sale yet. 🙂

This was a great podcast! I love using Reader’s Theatre with students. I have always thought it builds fluency, character analysis, and comprehension. I also love the opportunity it brings for kids that love to perform!!! I am curious to see the free scripts to hopefully add to my 1st grade library :o)
