Rhymes for letter S (free letter book)

It’s been almost two years since I started sharing my little letter books, and guess what?  Today I’m sharing the final one! Hurray!  You can now download a printable book of songs and rhymes for every letter of the alphabet.

I choose nursery rhymes and popular songs and rhymes when creating these books.  Some of these nursery rhymes were new to me. How about you?

Simple Simon

Simple Simon met a pieman
Going to the fair.
Said Simple Simon to the pieman,
“Let me taste your ware.”
Said the pieman to Simple Simon,
“Show me first your penny.”
Said Simple Simon to the pieman,
“Indeed I have not any.”

She Sells Seashells

She sells seashells by the seashore,
The shells she sells are seashells, I’m sure.
So if she sells seashells on the seashore,
Then I’m sure she sells seashore shells.

Seesaw, Margery Daw

Seesaw, Margery Daw,
Johnny shall have a new master.
Johnny shall earn but a penny a day
Because he can’t work any faster.

(A fun one to sing!)

Skip, skip, skip to my Lou,
Skip, skip, skip to my Lou,
Skip, skip, skip to my Lou,
Skip to my Lou, my darling.

Six Little Mice

Six little mice sat down to spin;
Kitty passed by and she peeped in.
“What are you doing, my little men?”
“Weaving coats for gentlemen.”
“Shall I come in and cut off your threads?”
“No, no, Mistress Kitty, you’d bite off our heads!”
“Oh no, I’d not, I’d help you to spin.”
“That may be so, but you can’t come in!”

Sippity Sup

Sippity sup, sippity sup,
Bread and milk from a china cup.
Bread and milk from a bright silver spoon
Made of a piece of the bright silver moon.
Sippity sup, sippity sup,
Sippity, sippity sup.

How to assemble my Little Letter Books:

  • Print the document in color (if you desire) on cardstock.  Be sure to print pages 2-3 front to back (page 1 is my Terms of Use). You will need only one piece of paper.
  • Cut an even line across the center of the page.
  • Fold the two sheets to make a book. Make sure the cover is in front, and insert the other page inside.
  • Staple with a long arm stapler.
